Embraer Legacy 600 / 650

The Legacy 600 carries more passengers than anything else in the Los Angeles heavy-jet category, and it does it in three separate cabin zones. Thirteen or fourteen seats, 3,400 nautical miles, and the largest baggage compartment in this class by a wide margin.

Embraer built the Legacy 600 on the ERJ-135 regional airliner airframe, adding winglets, extra fuel and a three-zone executive interior. Thirteen to fourteen seats, a cruise around Mach 0.78, and 3,400 nautical miles of range. The Legacy 650 that followed extended the range further.

Why the Legacy 600 / 650 Fits Los Angeles

Fourteen seats and an airliner-derived baggage hold is a combination nothing else here offers. For a touring party, a production crew or a sports group out of Los Angeles with a genuine amount of equipment, the Legacy is frequently the only heavy jet that takes everyone and everything on one aircraft.

The three-zone cabin is what makes a five-hour leg work with a large group. Principals forward, working team in the middle, and everyone is not sitting in one long room for the whole flight.

At 3,400 nautical miles it reaches New York and Miami from Los Angeles with a working payload. Load all fourteen seats with luggage and the range comes down, so we ask the operator to plan the real trip rather than quoting the maximum.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
