The Falcon 2000S is the short-field specialist of the Los Angeles heavy-jet market. Eight to ten passengers in a wide cabin, 482 knots, and inboard slats that let a heavy jet work runways most of the category cannot.
Dassault built the 2000S from the Falcon 2000 with high-Mach blended winglets and inboard leading-edge slats that cut approach speed markedly. Eight to ten seats, 482 knots and 3,350 nautical miles of range. Full specifications for the Dassault Falcon 2000S are published by Dassault Falcon.

Why the Dassault Falcon 2000S Fits Los Angeles
Those slats are the whole point around Southern California. A wide-cabin heavy jet that can work Santa Barbara or a shorter regional runway removes the drive to Van Nuys from the front of a Montecito or Ventura County trip. What a given tail can actually do on the day is signed off by the operator against weight, temperature and wind.
At 3,350 nautical miles it is the shortest-legged aircraft in the heavy category, so from Los Angeles it makes the East Coast with a light payload and Chicago or Dallas comfortably with a full one. For a guaranteed coast-to-coast nonstop the 2000LXS is the aircraft to price.
Dassault’s two-engine efficiency means it often quotes below a Challenger 604 for a similar cabin, which makes it worth putting on the same sheet rather than assuming the Bombardier is the value option.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
