The Falcon 900 is Dassault’s three-engine heavy jet and one of the most capable aircraft on the Los Angeles market. Twelve to fourteen passengers, 4,000 nautical miles, a cruise near Mach 0.84 and a third engine that changes the long overwater picture.
Dassault built the Falcon 900 as a trijet on a wide-cabin fuselage, with three Honeywell TFE731 engines and seating for twelve to fourteen. Range is 4,000 nautical miles and cruise sits around Mach 0.84, among the fastest in this category. Full specifications for the Falcon 900 are published by Dassault Falcon.

Why the Falcon 900 Fits Los Angeles
Fourteen seats, 4,000 nautical miles and Falcon short-field manners is a rare combination. From Los Angeles it takes a full group to New York, Miami or Central America nonstop with a working payload, and it can do that from runways a Gulfstream III would decline.
Three engines is the reason this aircraft comes up on long Pacific and Caribbean routing out of Los Angeles. What any given trip actually requires is set by the operator’s approvals and the rules they fly under, so we put the specific routing to them rather than answering it from the engine count.
At around Mach 0.84 it is faster than every Challenger here and most of the Gulfstreams, which on a five-hour transcontinental leg is worth real time.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
