Dassault Falcon 6X

The Falcon 6X has the widest cabin in business aviation at eight feet six inches, and out of Los Angeles it is the aircraft for a client who cares more about the room than the last few hundred nautical miles. Twelve to sixteen passengers and 5,500 nautical miles.

Dassault certified the Falcon 6X in August 2023 with two Pratt and Whitney PW812D engines, digital flight controls and a cabin eight feet six inches wide. Twelve to sixteen seats, a typical cruise around Mach 0.80 with a high-speed cruise near Mach 0.85, and 5,500 nautical miles of range. Full specifications for the Dassault Falcon 6X are published by Dassault Falcon.

Why the Dassault Falcon 6X Fits Los Angeles

Cabin width is measurable and this is the widest one available. On a nine-hour Los Angeles to Europe leg with a full cabin, eight feet six inches across is a different aircraft from a Global or a Gulfstream, and clients who fly it once tend to ask for it again.

At 5,500 nautical miles it is the shortest-legged aircraft in this category, so the hardest Pacific pairings from Los Angeles need a Global 7500, a G700 or a G800 instead. Europe, South America and most of the Pacific short of Asia are comfortable.

It keeps the Falcon short-field advantage, which is unusual at this size and means the departure airport around Southern California is a genuine choice rather than a foregone conclusion.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Dassault Falcon 6X run $13,000 to $16,000 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

The Falcon 6X quotes mid-band for ultra-long-range, and on any Los Angeles trip inside its range the cabin is what the money buys rather than the reach.
