Falcon 8x

The Falcon 8X is the longest-legged Falcon Dassault has built and one of the most capable aircraft available in Los Angeles. Twelve to sixteen passengers, 6,450 nautical miles, and the longest cabin in the Falcon line.

Dassault stretched the Falcon 7X and improved the wing and engines to create the 8X, keeping the three-engine layout and the digital flight controls. Twelve to sixteen seats, a cruise around Mach 0.80 and 6,450 nautical miles of range. Full specifications for the Dassault Falcon 8x are published by Dassault Falcon.

Why the Dassault Falcon 8x Fits Los Angeles

Five hundred nautical miles over the 7X is what puts the harder Pacific and European city pairs into reach from Los Angeles with a real cabin load rather than a light one. That margin is most valuable on the return legs, where headwinds decide whether a technical stop enters the plan.

The cabin is over a meter longer than the 7X’s, which on a twelve-hour Pacific crossing is the difference between a long flight and an unpleasant one. Dassault offers several interior layouts and the specific aircraft’s configuration is worth confirming before booking, since a three-zone cabin and a large-galley cabin are very different aircraft to spend a night in.

It keeps the Falcon short-field advantage, so a client based toward Santa Barbara or Ventura County is not automatically starting the trip with a drive to Van Nuys or Los Angeles International.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Dassault Falcon 8x run $14,000 to $17,000 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

The Falcon 8X quotes near the top of the ultra-long-range band, and on a Los Angeles Pacific crossing the range it holds in reserve is what keeps the technical stop out of the itinerary.
