Gulfstream G700

The Gulfstream G700 carries the longest cabin Gulfstream has built, and out of Los Angeles it competes directly with the Global 7500 for the hardest Pacific trips. Thirteen to nineteen passengers, 7,500 nautical miles, and up to five living areas.

Gulfstream certified the G700 in March 2024 with Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the Symmetry flight deck and a cabin configurable into as many as five living areas. Thirteen to nineteen seats, a cruise around Mach 0.85 with a high-speed cruise near Mach 0.90, and 7,500 nautical miles. Full specifications for the Gulfstream G700 are published by Gulfstream Aerospace.

Why the Gulfstream G700 Fits Los Angeles

Five living areas is more configuration than most clients need and exactly what some need. For a Los Angeles to Asia leg carrying a principal, a working team and a security detail as separate groups, this and the Global 7500 are the two aircraft that do it properly.

The high-speed cruise near Mach 0.90 makes the westbound Pacific return meaningfully shorter, which is the leg where an ultra-long-range aircraft earns its rate rather than the outbound.

It entered service in April 2024 and demand has outpaced the charter fleet, so a Los Angeles request usually needs real lead time. During awards season between January and March, expect that to be the constraint rather than price.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

The G700 quotes at the top of the ultra-long-range band alongside the Global 7500, and the two are worth pricing side by side on whichever aircraft is actually free.
