Beechcraft King Air C90GTx

The King Air C90GTx is the last and best of the King Air 90 line, and out of Los Angeles it is the entry point into a modern pressurized turboprop. Five to eight seats, 270 knots and 1,260 nautical miles.

Beechcraft fitted the C90GTi with winglets and an updated interior to create the C90GTx, the final production variant of the King Air 90. Five to eight seats, 270 knots and 1,260 nautical miles of range. Every Beechcraft King Air C90GTx we arrange flies with an operator certificated under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx Fits Los Angeles

At 270 knots it is considerably quicker than the early King Air 90s, which changes the calculation on the Los Angeles regional runs. Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, San Diego and Mammoth all come inside a comfortable hour.

Range is the honest limit at 1,260 nautical miles, the shortest of the King Airs here. Trips beyond Las Vegas, NV or the Bay Area with a full cabin want a 250 or a 350 instead.

It is small enough for the shorter regional fields, and Catalina is worth mentioning: the island’s airport caps aircraft at 12,500 pounds, permits no jets and operates in daylight only. Whether a specific C90GTx and operator are approved for that runway is the operator’s confirmation.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Industry hourly rates for the Beechcraft King Air C90GTx run $1,800 to $2,500 per hour as of 7/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

The C90GTx quotes above the older King Air 90s and below a King Air 200, and for four or five passengers on a short Los Angeles leg it is often the right aircraft.
